Rocky Mountain National Park
A timed entry permit is required to be booked in advance for entry into Rocky Mountain National Park. You can drive Trail Ridge Road or access numerous hikes including the popular Emerald Lake Trail. The main entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park is located 4 miles west of downtown Estes Park.
The Stanley Hotel
This is the hotel where Stephen King's "The Shining" took place. There are tours offered by the hotel and several restaurants and bars where you can experience The Stanley without staying there.
