Semi-formal will do nicely. Fancier than your Sunday best but not so fancy that you’re about to meet Her Majesty The Queen. Some might say “cocktail finery.”
Have no fear! The reception is NEAR! It’s actually in the exact same location as the venue! After the service, you’ll just walk around the side of the building through the courtyard and into the reception area! It’s that simple!
For those of you who have forgotten or missed the insert in the invitations, the guest book is actually a beautiful Bible that Titus and I will be using as a family heirloom for years to come. For those of you who just want to sign the guest book, please sign the inside cover and then find your seats. For any who would like to bestow wisdom to us in our upcoming years in addition to signing the cover page, you can find your favorite Bible verse and highlight it. PLEASE make sure to sign your name nearby so we know who is leaving the highlight! You may also write notes to us in the margins if you so choose, again, just please leave your name as well. ^_^
Smoking is NOT allowed by the rules of the venue. Our venue host ensured us that it is not beyond her to respectfully remove guests who do not comply to this rule. If you are in need of a smoke break, the venue host has designated a smoking area off-property across the street. Why you may ask? The venue is the oldest building In the city of Willard at 130 years old! It was built in 1887 and is considered a cherished relic of the area. The owners wish to preserve the beauty of the church by protecting the walls from nicotine discoloration, protecting the walls and furniture from the scent of cigarette smoke, and doing what they can to prevent accidental fires. We thank you for your understanding and willingness to accommodate!
That’s a hard negative! Lets all enjoy the evening un-inebriated as polite society. We’ll have mock-tails and sparkly juice to celebrate. Any who decide to try and sneak in their own will be politely removed from the premises and an Uber called for you. We love you, but we don’t love booze. Sorry.
Certainly! We’d just like to make a few requests! In your RSVP, please state the name and age of each child in attendance. If you’ve already RSVP’d by the time you’ve read this, don’t worry! Our RSVP list is an email, so you can just send another email to specify! Kiddos have trouble sitting still, so we plan on providing some quiet activities for them to do during the ceremony, such as coloring, paper dolls, and the like. You’re welcome and encouraged to bring along their own toys as well, we just ask they they are of the battery-less and rattle-less type! There will not be childcare available, though, so be prepared to keep track of your kiddo, and to kindly move outside if your little one cries during the ceremony.
You may, but we ask that you please be mindful and respectful of the bride and groom and of others around you. We have hired a professional photographer who will be photographing the entire evening. We have every plan to share those photos with you once we have them in our possession! That being said, during the CEREMONY, we would prefer if the professional photos did not include a room full of people with their cameras and phones out. So, please silence your phones, snap a picture or two, and then please put your devices away and enjoy the ceremony. If you want to snap a few pictures of the kiss or the recessional, that’s fine too, just make sure you share them with us as well! Then once we get to the reception, you can take pictures and videos ‘till you’re heart’s content! We have an instagram page for all you tech savvy people! When you post your pics, just tag us @mr.and.mrs.arnold and tag #TKArnoldWedding2021
Please don’t. I love animals more than people most days (writes Kaylin, jokingly), but it would be chaos if everyone brought their Fido or Fluffy.
Yes! Fear not, we plan on feeding you! We are catering Bourbon and Beals— a delicious BBQ place that’s a local favorite. Your options will be Pulled Pork or Pulled Chicken. Sides are Potato Salad, Mac n Cheese, and Green Beans.
Of course! Our beautiful cake and grooms cake will be made and designed by the exquisite Kathy Bunn, the Matron of Honor’s mother! We are so grateful and honored that she has agreed to make these special confectionery on our big day! Thank you, Mama Bunn!
Yep! One of the bride’s best friends, Ben Bitter, will be DJ-ing the entire ceremony and reception! If you have any song requests, you may take it up with him! He is listed in the Wedding Party as the Honor Attendant, so you can put a name with a face. In the courtyard will be lawn games and HOPEFULLY a log-less fire pit for toasting s’mores (a Groom’s favorite). If you’re not a dancer, challenge your family member or friend to a game of corn hole, Janga, and more!
Yep! That’s your party favor! Bon appétit!
Yes! The venue has on-site parking available!
