His Side Of The Story I was wrapping up a long day at work when I got an invite to go play volleyball. I was tired and ready to go home, but I decided to go. Turns out that was the best decision of my life. After an hour or so of playing games, Kay showed up with those GORGEOUS GREEN EYES and she instantly caught my attention. She was invited onto my team, and naturally we started teasing each other, going back and forth with playful arguments. She made me laugh and what stood out to me was how genuine she was, not afraid to be herself. When it time for her to leave, I wanted to ask her for her Instagram, but I didn’t want to come off too forward so I didn’t, which I instantly regretted. Later that night, I couldn’t get her out of my mind. I told my roommates about her then I knew I had to find her. I looked for her Instagram account through mutual friends. I was so happy when I found it. After that, we started talking and hanging out, getting to know each other more and I fell in love with her kindness, humor, and most importantly, her spirituality. I noticed how much she loved and cared about people, and then I fell in love with her. I knew this was the woman I wanted to marry. Now here we are—getting married! Her Side of the Story I had just played tennis with two of my friends and remembered I had gotten invited to play volleyball that same night. We were sweaty and gross but two of us decided we should go. Once we had gotten there, I looked at my friend and said “Watch me meet some perfect man when I look like this.” She laughed and told me that wasn’t possible, we know everyone in the group, but also, I didn’t expect to meet the man I’m marrying. I agreed and we laughed it off, but then we got to the court and I saw him. I looked at her and said “I was right.” They needed someone on the team he was on, and obviously they had to twist my arm but I went over on his team. We all introduced ourselves and started playing. We kept teasing each other the whole night, him saying “you missed the ball” and me coming back saying “you have two feet you could’ve gotten it”, back and forth, laughing and joking around. What stood out to me was how he matched my jokes, no ego, no getting defensive, but just acting like me. I waited until the end of the night, thinking maybe he would ask for social media to talk to me. He didn’t. Little did I know he was looking for my Instagram right after and we would be where we are today. Once we started talking, I fell in love with his spirituality, his personality, and how he listened to me and respected me. We had the same music taste, made the same jokes, liked the same hobbies, had the same goals, and I knew this is who I wanted to be with for the rest of my life. At my favorite artist’s concert, on November 15th during our song, he asked me to marry him. We didn’t know our song wasn’t originally on the setlist, but while I was getting merch for us, Exocee asked the artist if he could announce when he proposed and the artist changed the setlist to play our song to give us the perfect moment, and now here we are! We are so grateful to all of you for being a part of our lives and our story. You are all so special to us and we can’t wait for you to be with us on our special day❤️
