We're Getting Married!

It started one lovely summer night in AZ. Kay was craving some greasy bar food and a good spot to watch the Suns Playoffs. She headed across the street to Jolie's Place where Ari was being a total baddie behind the bar. The band had been requested to sing Happy Birthday. Without missing a beat Ari yells, "It's my birthday". Kay seeing this as a great opportunity to flirt says "No it's not, prove it! Show me your ID", and she did. Kay with a sly smile checked what Ari's middle name was and followed that with "Well, I now know your middle name, so I should probably take you on a date." A few days later they had their first movie date, which was Fast & Furious 9, nice choice on Kay's part. She was looking for her "Letty" and had a hunch she would find that with Ari. Second date, they headed outdoors and Ari impressed Kay with her handy skills tying down a kayak and hitting the lake with a cooler packed full of snacks and cold beverages. Kay was riding on cloud 9, what a perfect woman, just what Kay was looking for. These lovebirds began to hang more and more, going to their first concert- Sublime, which led to their first kiss. Not soon after, Ari was headed out for Thanksgiving with her family on a cruise and needed a dog sitter. Only knowing each other for a few weeks, Kay offered to housesit. She promised Sam would become friends with Moko and to not worry, she had everything handled. Kay packed a bag for the week, showed up at Ari's and never left. The dogs did in fact learn to like each other and Kay knew she had this locked down. They moved in together the following year. After living together in Phoenix for a year, Kay got a promotion which gave her the opportunity to work remote. Kay asked Ari if she wanted to sell everything and live in a trailer together and travel. Without hesitation, Ari agreed and they were off to share the news with their family. In March 2023, they hit the road and started their travels across the United States. Ari and Kay spent a little over 2.5 years living in a Class A motorhome named "Gloria" where they tackled 43 states and over 33,000 miles with no prior experience with RV's. Kay was a bit nervous, but with Ari being the best wing woman, anything was possible. They built an unbreakable bond during their travels and experienced amazing adventures along the way. They made their way back west and are now settled down in San Diego, CA. Kay spent a few months planning a surprise beach proposal. She put a lot of thought and effort into perfecting the entire day, down to making sure even the date was unique to their love. On National Slurpee day, 7/11/2025, Kay got down on one knee just in time for sunset near the love hut at WindnSea beach. They plan to continue building their future together on many more amazing adventures and someday maybe even a family of their own. They would love nothing more than to celebrate this monumental occasion with them on 6/26/26 at the beautiful and historic Mt. Woodson Castle in Ramona, California. Bring your dancing shoes!
