On top of being an amazing sister, she’s also an multi-talented musician, singer, and illustrator (she created our invites and save-the-dates!). Laiah Dance

Laiah Dance is Kaylin’s younger sister and a speech pathologist currently working in Atlanta! Laiah is the biggest sweetheart and has been a pillar for Kaylin since childhood. She is a brilliant singer, a perfect travel buddy, and maybe the world’s biggest Friends fan (she thinks Kaylin is “definitely a Monica”).
Julia Fenner
Bridesmaid
Julia (aka “Mom”) has been a friend of Kaylin’s since 2017. They met in their first class on their first day of grad school and have remained close friends ever since! Julia has seen Kaylin at her best and worst and has been a source of joy, wisdom, and friendship through it all.
Carlissa Woodruff
Bridesmaid
Carlissa is Devron’s wife and has known Joel for many years. Although she and Kaylin are newer friends, Carlissa is one of those people you feel like you’ve known forever. A natural hostess and an incredible mom, Carlissa brings warmth, grace, and a touch of fun to everything she does. We’re so grateful she’s a part of our special day!
Sierra Jordan-Thompson

Sierra works in HIV research with Kaylin! After meeting when Kaylin started a new job, they became fast friends. She’s helped Kaylin grow as a person both in and out of the office. Sierra is the definition of a ride-or-die friend - she’s the one to go to for a fun hangout, deep conversations, and good advice.
Korey Phillips
Best Man
Korey has been one of Joel’s best friends since middle school, 7th grade to be exact - 20 years! He has maintained a long relationship with Joel ever since and has been a a pivotal asset and brother to him. From mischief and horsing around, through boyhood to manhood, Korey and Joel have built a solid friendship and now would even call themselves family.
Devron Woodruff

Devron is a part of Joel’s second family for sure - the family that grew up right beside his own and whose family always embraced everyone with love. Devron is the inspiration for dedication and hard work, leads by example in everything he does, and has been another brother and phenomenal part of Joel and Kaylin’s life.
Malcolm Coxel

Malcolm (aka Malcolm X) is one of the best friends Joel could ask for. Never a dull moment and always the best conversationalist amongst many of his friends. Malcolm is one that will always show up and give his all. For the last 17 years of knowing Malcolm, he has been nothing but genuine and a blessing in Joel’s life.

Kelvin is Joel’s childhood and lifelong friend, and what started as friendship has become a brotherhood. He has been a part of Joel’s family and growth from elementary school to today. Through thick and thin, constant laughter, and navigating life, Kelvin has been a rock.

Tevin is the creative, the nomad and one of the most interesting people you’ll ever meet. He’s been apart of Joel’s life since childhood and continues to be a rock and a reliable friend for time of uplift and celebration.
