Where to Stay

The Amalfi Coast is full of small, charming towns. You can stay in Ravello, Amalfi, Scala, or Salerno to be close to the action. If you did not choose to book through Kayli and Sam, we've pulled together a list of AirBNBs for different budgets and sizes for you to check out. We recommend booking early to get the best deals.

Flight

Getting to Italy

For flying into Europe, good connecting flights go through London, Paris, or Frankfurt. Book soon for the best deals. The towns closest to our wedding venue are Amalfi and Ravello. We recommend ending up at Naples (Capodichino Airport), which is an hour away from Ravello. Rome (Fiumincino Airport) is an affordable airport alternative, which is three hours away from Ravello.

Travel Note

If Arriving Into Naples

If arriving into Naples, you can get to Amalfi/Ravello by ferry, taxi, or train. Train: Naples Central Station > Amalfi (Vietri Sul Mare) Station. Tickets start at $6. Book at thetrainline.com. Ferry: Ferry tickets start at $20. Naples (Beverello) Ferry Station to Amalfi (Port of Amalfi) Station. It takes about one hour forty-five minutes. Book at ferryhopper.com. Taxi: Taxis can be hailed at the airport. This will be the most expensive option at around $200 and up.

Travel Note

If Arriving Into Rome

If arriving into Rome, connect from Rome to Salerno by train. Salerno is a town which is about 20 minutes to Amalfi/Ravello by ferry. Visit thetrainline.com for tickets.

Italy Travel Tips

You may find that in Italy, time is slow and appointments are not as punctual. We love the "go with the flow" aspect, and to be on the safe side, we encourage you to add extra travel time to your plans. Uber is not available, so you can utilize taxi services while there. Tipping is not required in Italy for any travel services.

Travel Note

Getting Around

The Amalfi Coast is beautiful because of its hills and scenic overlooks, but that makes it quite steep for walking, too! Please plan to pace yourself, stay hydrated, and be cautious walking on the winding roads. You can also get a taxi or take the ferry (recommended). (Fun story: One time Kayli hitchhiked on a moped in the Amalfi Coast to get around!)
