Here’s to spending forever with your best friend!

Mike and I went to Quinnipiac together, which is where we met! The first time we spoke was actually our freshman year, I ran into Mike while getting ready to go out with friends for a Halloween party. You’ll see why this is funny later, but I was dressed as Sully from Monsters Inc. After that, we both became RAs our sophomore year and had a few interactions but were not yet close friends. I always thought of Mike as the nicest guy I had ever met. He just oozed kindness and empathy, making everyone he speaks to feel heard and cared about. Starting junior year, finally, we were both on the same staff and became close friends very quickly. We were so lucky that year to be working with such a great group of people and we all became super close. But for some reason, Mike and I just always gravitated towards working together and helping each other with programs etc. We made a great team and he became one of the closest friends I had ever had. The night before Halloween, Mike, courageous as ever - showed up to tell me he liked me. Ever the gentleman, he began planning sweet dates for the two of us. The first of which was ice cream and Monster's Inc (see told ya it was a little funny I was dressed as Sully when we first met) and the rest is basically history. Falling in love with your best friend feels like the most natural thing in the world. And with each day it feels like our love grows more grand and deep than the day before. Between finishing college degrees and graduate programs, to working hours and hours of overtime trying to afford adulthood; Mike and I have worked hard to continue to prioritize the love we have for one another. Thankfully, though life is tough and continues to become more difficult, loving each other has been the one easy and consistent piece we have gotten to hold onto. When everything seems to go wrong, we still have each other there to give strength. I know the both of us will always be extremely grateful to have that. With this team work we have been able to make it through college and grad school, adopt the most amazing little cat around (Harley) and buy our first home together. We cannot wait to celebrate the incredible journey we have taken together with all of our closest friends and family. We are eternally grateful for all the love and support we receive from all of you!
