Once upon a time in the magical world of a dating app called Bumble, a match was found. Kaylen won Alex over with her first message “You look like a great catch." From that moment on, Alex was hooked! In late September 2017, Alex and Kaylen went on their first date by going for a hike and Fall leaf-viewing adventure in Maplewood State Park. Unbeknownst to Alex, Kaylen had recruited a couple of friends from PT School in Fargo to tag along at a distance in case she needed a quick getaway! Luckily for everyone involved, that wasn’t necessary, and Alex and Kaylen have been together ever since! In the years since, Alex and Kaylen started a relationship that for the first 3 years was all long-distance. Kaylen was going to Physical Therapy School in Fargo, ND, and doing clinicals in the Twin Cities and eventually moved to Northwood, North Dakota for her first big girl job as a Physical Therapist. Alex was pretty set on staying in the Lakes Area. Finally in 2020, after a trip to Tennessee, Kaylen was convinced to move in with Alex to his home in the Battle Lakes Area. In the months that followed they also welcomed their dog, Neville, into the family. And the three of us have been inseparable since! On August 30th, 2023, Alex got tired of waiting for Kaylen to pop the big question so on a kayaking date night to Glendalough State Park, Alex proposed to Kaylen on the shores of Annie Battle Lake. Thankfully she said yes! And the rest was history!
