PGA Riviera Maya
Located less than 5 minutes away from Secrets Akumal is PGA Riviera Maya golf course. If you are bringing your own clubs, they'll be able to hold them for you at the club house if you are planning on going back more than once. If you would rather rent clubs, you can easily do that as well!
Akumal
We highly recommend leaving the resort one afternoon and walking into town. There are a handful of restaurants, bars and shops within a 10 minute walk of the resort. We recommend Turtle Bay Cafe and Taverna.

Swim with Turtles at Playa Akumal
Akumal means "place of turtles" in Mayan. You can either go snorkeling on your own or go on a turtle snorkeling tour. Fun fact - nesting season is May through November!
Chichén-Itzá
Said to be a favorite spot in Mexico. This is about 2 hours from Secrets Akumal. There are excursions that you can sign up for, a car can be rented as well if you so desire.
Valladolid
This is a great place to stop on the way to Chichen Itza.
Guy Fieri's American Kitchen Bar Cancún
The best way to end your trip is with a last margarita at Guy's (at the Cancun International Airport). Don't forget to upgrade your drink so you can take home a skull souvenir mug that you'll never use again.
