We met in 9th grade history class. Jacob was super shy, Kayleigh was not. We became good friends pretty quick. It's an odd yet sweet story of how we became more than friends though. Kayleigh had a stalker (creepy) and Jacob felt the need to protect his new friend so he'd walk home with her everyday from school. One day the stalker was in fact waiting for them and Jacob chose in that moment to hold Kayleigh's hand. Everyday since that day he would hold Kayleigh's hand until one day he worked up the courage to ask her to be his girlfriend. Her response was "sure" (she was caught off guard) and Jacob has never let her live it down, saying "I was worried when I proposed you'd say 'sure'." Nonetheless, the 2 fell in love very quick. Spent all their youth together in bliss, took a short break out of high school to ensure they both could find happiness and eventually collided back together because we were better together than apart. We are happier than ever and the best of friends. We knew way back then as well as we know now that we are destined to be together forever. Below you can see a picture of us on our first official date, Halloween of 2010. This is why we chose to get married on this day as it is very special to us.
