Daniel and Kayleigh began their journey from a distance by speaking online. Eventually they agreed to meet in Kayleigh's hometown of Nashville, Indiana in September of the same year, 2021. Despite the odds of a long distance relationship working, they both decided it would be worth it, and so began the start of their grand adventure. Daniel's job was trucking and it was very taxing at times upon their relationship. But Kayleigh kept faith in him and they did the best they could, knowing that their "someday" was coming. They enjoyed many chores and hobbies together such as cooking, caring for her horses, tending chickens, cutting firewood, and spending time with each other's families and friends. Many visits later, in the peak color of the fall leaves, Daniel asked her to spend the rest of her life with him, and she gave him the best yes he'd ever heard in his life! They both feel very blessed to have each other's love and company and through the grace of God they will live and thrive together.
