Finally our forever

We met in school and, without even trying, we just clicked. We ate lunch together, joked around in class, and had late-night conversations about everything and nothing. As the years went by, best friends, no labels, no pressure. By 9th grade, we both secretly liked each other, but neither of us said it out loud. The feeling was there, but we didn’t know what to do with it. When Kayleen turned fifteen, Tyler was her partner in her Quinceañera. He was wearing a white suit, with a bright green cast from breaking his toes. He couldn’t dance like we had planned, but he made sure he was there. That night stuck with both of us more than we realized at the time. Later in high school, life pulled us in different directions, and we stopped talking for two years. We’d catch each other staring down the hallway, then look away like nothing happened. It was weird and honestly kind of hard. We tried to stay busy and hang out with other people, but something always felt off. Everything reminded us of each other. Then, during junior year, he sent a simple “Hey,” and that was it. Once we reconnected, it was different. More real. We realized pretty quickly it had always been more than just friendship. We went to homecoming and senior prom, and it felt comfortable, like it finally made sense. After high school, we both got full rides to Alvernia University. Different majors, different schedules, but still together. We studied, partied, traveled, and survived college together. After graduation, life together really began. Mexico, Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, Canada, Jamaica, and we collected memories Moving in together wasn't perfect, but it was ours.. Late nights, figuring out habits, learning each other’s moods. We laughed a lot and built a rhythm that just worked. Eventually, Tyler went ring shopping with his parents and asked Kayleen’s parents for their blessing. On April 16, 2025, he proposed. He was nervous, but he managed to pull it off, and she said yes. After years of drifting apart, we found our way back to each other, and being together felt long overdue. And now, here we are, making it official. Here's to Forever ❤️
