Victor and Kaylee met in September of 2010 when he started working at the Moscow Applebee’s. Kaylee instantly thought he was the most handsome man she had ever seen. One day, Victor worked up the courage and invited Kaylee to come hang out with him and his roommates. They went on their first official date to the movies around Halloween, and they have since celebrated their dating anniversary every year on October 31st. After two years of dating, they moved in together. Eventually, Kaylee decided to go back to school to get her law degree. Victor was incredibly supportive of her, working at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratory in Pullman so that she didn’t have to worry about working while in school. He was her biggest supporter, encouraging her when she needed it and reminding her to study for her classes. Following graduation from the University of Idaho College of Law, Kaylee took a job in Boise. With family and brothers from the Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity located in Boise, Victor found the transition from Moscow to Boise seamless. Kaylee was excited to start her career as a staff attorney, while exploring a new city, being close to Victor’s family, and attending their family gatherings. On October 30, 2020, Victor asked Kaylee to go on a walk, which was something they did often to spend quality time together during the pandemic. Victor put the ring in his pants pocket and kept his hand in his pocket to cover it, something Kaylee found strange. As they passed by the Morrison Center on the Boise State University campus, they saw a man taking photos of ducks on the river. They stopped to look at the ducks, and Victor kneeled on one knee and proposed to Kaylee. The photographer, one of Victor’s fraternity brothers, began taking photos of the proposal and captured the perfect moment. They plan to be married in front of family and friends on October 8, 2022.
