We’re getting married!

Logan and Kaylee met on the very first day of orientation at Upperroom School of Ministry in the fall of 2023. Both came hurrying in a little late thanks to classic Dallas traffic (and Logan making the drive from Texarkana, TX that very morning). Logan ended up sitting right behind Kaylee. When the teacher said, “Everyone turn around and greet the person behind you and to your left and right,” they became two of the very first people each other met—neither of them knowing just how important that simple introduction would become! After also being placed in the same home group, their friendship grew quickly and naturally. What started as an easy connection turned into a steady and meaningful friendship marked by kindness, trust, and lots of laughter. They both had a special place in each other’s hearts. Through the ups and downs of two years of ministry school, they remained close! Somewhere along the way, something began to change. One unexpected day, Logan realized that being around Kaylee wasn’t just easy and fun, it was becoming a preference! In the middle of November’s busy weeks in school, and birthday dinners with friends, he found himself instinctively looking for her, hoping she would be there. And she usually was. At the same time, Kaylee began to realize just how safe, seen, and cared for she felt around Logan even in friendship. His kindness wasn’t just something he showed others—it was something she experienced personally. She found herself looking for him in rooms too. The more time they spent together, the more they realized what they had wasn’t just friendship—it was something more! What began as a simple introduction became a friendship, and that friendship quietly and beautifully grew into a steady love for one another.

On February 14th, 2026, Logan took Kaylee on an early morning walk—one of her very favorite things. The weather was overcast, the morning was peaceful, and the park seemed quieter than usual. In other words: absolutely perfect! As they walked and talked like they had done many times before, Logan led Kaylee to a beautiful waterfall tucked away with no one else around. In that quiet, special moment, through lots of laughter and happy tears from both of them, he asked her to marry him. & with no hesitation, Kaylee said YES! On that quiet Saturday morning, they chose forever. And now… from both of us: WE’RE GETTING MARRIED!!!
