We arrived at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, in late October of 2023 and went through basic training together without knowing much about each other until graduation. We got separated into groups to continue our army training and realized we had the same job and were going to Texas together. Over the first six months of our training in Texas we slowly became friends. We went to basic together, and now we were in the same class together for the next year. That friendship eventually turned into a not-so-friendly chapter, and it’s safe to say we weren’t the biggest fans of each other for a while. We received orders that only the two of us would be continuing our training in Maryland, while the rest of our friends got split up all around the world. Fast forward to the next few months at Walter Reed in Maryland. With more freedom but still far from familiar faces, we found our way back to each other. With just the two of us in our class we realized we truly only had each other. Our friendship grew stronger as we learned how deeply we could rely on one another and how much we truly enjoyed each other’s presence. And then, for the fourth time, fate stepped in. We somehow ended up not only both going to Hawaii, but working at the same place as well. At that point, we could no longer deny what had been quietly growing between us. We realized our love and respect for one another, and learned that we were truly meant for each other. The road we traveled together was not always easy, but we wouldn’t change a single step, because it led us here — to each other. Today, we are so excited to share this moment with you all, and to begin a lifetime of new memories together.
