So, the first time I met Kaylee was at an interact meeting. We didn't really talk a whole lot but we at least knew each other existed. Meeting after meeting, my mom, concerned that she would never have grandchildren, kept asking me "Well, did you see any cute girls"? I usually just tried to deflect cause I wasn't really interested in getting a girlfriend at the time (plus I wanted to listen to my music in peace!!!). Anyway, at one point my mom pointed out Kaylee. I don't really know why or how, I guess she just had that motherly instinct. Time goes on and I eventually steal Kaylee's number from my mom's phone (she had all the interact members' numbers) and started to text her. We get to know each other and we realize we have very similar senses of humor and similar interests, being music and art and stuff. At first, I thought Kaylee was going to be a really sheltered, submissive girl. Little did I know, she was NONE of those things, which I am tremendously thankful for. After about a month of texting, I eventually ask her out... over text... (I get one stupid moment per day okay). But, I almost cancel on her because I was at a friend's house the night before, even though I was excited to go on my first date ever (once again, one stupid moment per day). We went to Billy's, a local diner, for breakfast. It went well (or at least I think it did). Then later that day, we went to Kaylee's siblings' soccer games at Pistol Park. I saw one of my neighbors there so I was like hey, I'll go say hi. I bring Kaylee with me and I say "Hey *insert name*, this is Kaylee, my new gIrLfRiEnD" (again, one stupid thing per day, and I now understand that you're not automatically together after the first date, I've grown a lot okay). Luckily, Kaylee played along with it and we've been dating ever since!

We met through our local community club for middle and high school kids called Interact. When I first saw him, I thought he was so cute and well put-together. He also seemed to be super smart and have a similar sense of humor to my own. I was too shy to approach him upfront, but I was casually flirtatious. Of course, though, he was oblivious! Eventually after spending a school day together for a fundraiser I'd organized, he got my number and finally started the beginning of our beautiful relationship. I do have to say though... it was hilarious how we first started dating. For our first date, we drove separately to Billy's (now closed). Afterwards, we went to my little brother's soccer game, where he proceeded to introduce me to someone as his girlfriend. I thought, wait, did I miss something? That must have just been his slick way of claiming me as his girl! We've been inseparable ever since.
