I didn't even want to take this course but my advisor and math professor convinced me. So there I go, first day of my senior year into a math class that I just KNOW is going to be difficult. And then I see him. The only one in the room who I recognize and panic sets in. "I don't know anyone in here. This guy looks like Ryan's old roommate, but like emaciated now. Did he get cancer over summer? I'm going to go ask." And I did. And the rest is history. Which is not a subject we studied together.
This wasn't even supposed to be a date. We were supposed to be two friends getting Ihop. We ended up getting Bdubs, sat at the high tables, with a short waitress.
Grad school was rough so I was talked into getting a pet. We went to the nearby shelter and of course I wanted all the cats but couldn't take all the cats. I found an elderly cat that needed medication and a lot of love. Of course, I could barely feed myself on my grad school stipend so I cried until Kyle pulled me away. As I was walking by a furry paw clung to my leg. And that is actually how Venus got us.
You know what cats don't like? Flights. But our baby was AMAZING. Leaving Raleigh was bittersweet but coming out to Oregon was thrilling. Out in a hipsters paradise. Food is overpriced BUT the scenery is to die for. Hikers paradise more like it.
To say it took forever, is an understatement. Multiple dates got ruined thanks to the weather and the move. But it finally happened on NYE 2021 when we were alone in an old, repurposed theater. It was creepy, it was spooktacular, it was perfect. She didn't even give me a chance to show her the ring, she took it so fast. Greedy little dragon.
