We’re getting married!

We took a long weekend trip (1/7/21-1/10/21) to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg with Kathryn (Kaylee’s cousin) and Zach (Kathryn’s boyfriend). On the morning of the 9th, a busy day started. Darrell and Zach went to the Hollywood cars museum, while Kathryn insisted she and Kaylee get their nails done. Kaylee initially thought, "Who in the world gets their nails done on vacation and wants to spend $50 on that." While getting their nails done, weddings came up in conversation. Kaylee told Kathryn if she were to get engaged that day, the wedding would not be until the Fall of 2022. After getting their nails done they hurried through traffic to make it to the Skylift. Kaylee is terrified of heights and cried the whole way. After this attraction, the four agreed to meet at The Christmas Place in Pigeon Forge so Darrell could get a picture of where his late Father, Wade, took one of his last photos. On the way there Kaylee complained about spending money on nails and not even coming back down the Skylift with a ring to show off. Darrell told Kaylee to quit rushing it and just let it happen when it happens. Kaylee and Darrell arrived at The Christmas Place before Kathryn and Zach. Kaylee was getting hangry (hungry + angry) and finally said to Darrell "Get out of the Jeep and just let me take your picture." Darrell said, "No I want to recreate the picture with you." Finally, Kathryn and Zach arrived and we looked at Wade's photo to get the exact spot and backdrop. We smiled for the picture and Kaylee said "Yay, now let's go eat." Kathryn said, "Wait!!!" "One more picture." Kaylee turned to Darrell who randomly said "I love you" to which Kaylee responds "Yeah I know, now smile." Darrell then grabbed Kaylee's hand and said "I love you" "I want us to be together forever" and got down on one knee and said, "Will you do the honor and marry me?" Kaylee of course crying and completely surprised said "YES!" So it turns out the $50 nails were worth it!
