We met in 2010 during our senior year of high school. We both had the same free period. It was the last period of the day but we never left school to go home early (Kaylee had a younger sister to drive home... Connor had lacrosse practice, but also plenty of statistics homework and needed "help"). If we weren't in Mrs. Vrooman's classroom finishing ceramics projects, we were on nature walks in Duke Forest or with other friends from statistics class working on homework that none of us understood.

We had just moved to Colorado and had been going on all sorts of camping/hiking/fishing adventures with friends. On Sunday night, when Connor said he would like to go on another hike the next day - "just the two of us" - Kaylee was hesitant to go. After a little convincing, they drove to Loveland Pass and hiked all the way to the top. Just as they arrived at the top, Connor dropped to one knee, surprised Kaylee with a ring, and here we are!
