We were spending the weekend in Galveston at the Lonestar Bike Rally in November. Chad works out of town a lot, so there are times we go weeks to a month without seeing each other. He had actually just got home from working a job in Ohio when we went to the rally. We both took off this year so we could really enjoy ourselves and not worry about work and just have a good time. If you didn’t know already, Chad LOVES his motorcycle more than anything and November is his favorite time of year because of the rally. My first time ever going the rally was the following year not long after we had been together, and I loved it. I had never even rode a bike before I met Chad. We like to spend a lot of our weekends riding. The night we got engaged was a night I’ll never forget. It was easily the best day of my life. Friday November 5th, 2017 my best friend and love of my life got down on one knee and asked me to marry him in front of a million people at the Lonestar Rally! Super big deal being that Chad hates crowds! Everyone asks if I had any idea that he was proposing, and I honestly had no clue. I didn’t think he’d ever ask really. I remember that night though and him stopping and getting off the bike I was looking at him like he was crazy because we were holding up traffic. Then he pulled the ring out of his pocket and he asked me and I just couldn’t believe it. That moment was the happiest that I have ever been. Later that night I remember going back to the beach house where we were staying and I just kept looking at the ring so happy and in such disbelief of what had happened. I still find myself staring at my ring smiling knowing I get to love this man forever. I couldn’t be any happier.
