Family and Friends, Adam and I have made the difficult decision to cancel our wedding on June 12, 2020. Given that we are moving to Salt Lake City to start our next chapter in June, we could not justify attempting to reschedule our Minnesota wedding. We will likely have a small elopement with close friends and family when life gets back to normal, but are unsure when and where at this time. We are very sad to not have the opportunity to celebrate with all of you. To everyone who has booked hotel accomodations and other travel plans, we're very sorry for any inconvenience we may have caused. It can be a far too easy to get caught up in the world of wedding planning. There is a lot of subtle pressure to 'Keep up with the Joneses' - having 500 guests, enough floral for a botanical garden, a wedding dress as elaborate as Princess Diana's, and a 20 tier cake painted in gold. This pandemic has served as a gentle (or not so gentle) reminder of what a wedding really is - a celebration of love, the unity of families, and a means to a wonderful beginning. We may not have the biggest, boldest wedding of the summer, but we will always have eachother, and that's all that really matters. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with words of love and kindness during this difficult time. We are so thankful for the support of our family and friends. Stay healthy and wash your hands!
