Local Hiking Trails

We love to be outdoors, and Adams County is known for some beautiful trails in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Consider taking a walk on one of the many options (Click the "View" Button Below).

Quiverheart Falls Trail - moderate 1.5 mile

One of our fond memories is at Quiverheart Gorge, it has beautiful falls toward the entrance/exit of the looped trail. The terrain varies quite a bit throughout and can be most difficult and most beautiful right after a good rainfall.

Crawdad Creek and Early Buttercup Trails - Easy 2.4 mile

If you're looking for a bit more of a leisurely stroll, Chalet Nivale Nature Preserve has three trail loops so you can break up the walking. Then you can decide between each loop if you just can't wait any longer to grab a bite to eat at the local Amish deli or bakery.

Groom's Favorite - Soft Pretzel with Cheese or Glazed Donut Brides' Favorite - Italian Deli Sandwich on Pretzel Bread or Chocolate Chip Cooke Whoopie Pie They haven't let us down on anything yet!

Miller's Amish Bakery and Furniture

Miller's has a large selection of furniture, it's fun to look at the toys and other items they sell. On the weekends they often make fresh kettle corn in many different flavors as well!

Erwin's Corn Maze & The Farmer's Wife Garden Barn Boutique

Visit the Garden Barn at Erwin Farm for garden supplies, home décor, farmhouse furniture, clothing & accessories. Corn Maze open in September.

Family Traditions Animal Adventure

Family Traditions allows guests to experience interactive exhibits with animals from around the world. Home to over 35 species including camels, kangaroo, lemurs, and sloth. A great adventure for kids of all ages. Open April through October and special winter hours.
