We’re getting married!

We met on a Sunday, the night before our freshman year started at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. During a movie marathon with some new college friends, we noticed eachother in the room. It was Dustin’s dorm, so he was sitting on his bed, and I found a spot on the floor. The room was crowded, but throughout the night, we started to talk (rather than pay attention to the movie). We talked seperately about little things here and there, mostly about our new college and our similar interests, and I specifically remember Dustin moving down to sit next to me. After losing track of time and realizing it was getting late, I needed to head back to my own dorm. It was chilly and Dustin offered to walk me home - even offering me his sweatshirt (which I still have to this day!). We made it back to my dorm, smiled at eachother saying “Goodnight”. In that little moment, when we locked eyes for just a second, we both knew there was “something” there, and now over 9 years later, we get to embark on our next journey in life together.
