When you meet the love of your life for the first time you normally see each other in a crowd, know each other through mutual friends, or run into each other and go on a date. For the future Samuels things happened a little different. Their love story started out a little unconventional. On August 8, 2017 Stephen was on his way to Bush Gardens with his family. Kaylan was in Marshallberg with her family on summer break from college. At one specific moment that Stephen was just in the mile range to show up on Kaylan's phone they both swiped right on each other on a dating app. They each only had the dating app for a day or two and had only found each other with it. It may be a little out of the ordinary, but without it they may not have found each other. From that day on the rest is history. They talked on the phone everyday for hours at a time, video chatted and even texted nonstop. A week or so went by and they decided it was time to meet in person. On August 18, 2017 Kaylan drove to meet Stephen and his family at a fishing tournament in Manteo, NC. Yes, she met her future husband, his mom and step dad at the same time, LOL. When Kaylan got out of the car and they both saw each other for the first time in person it was an instant spark and something they both knew was special. Three and a half years later they are ready to say " I Do" and start their forever as The Samuels!!

It was their two year anniversary and they were on vacation in Cabo, Mexico. Stephen got down on one knee on the beach with the sound of the waves crashing and the sun setting. For the perfect scenery Kaylan said "Yes!" with tears of joy and happiness to forever. This was the best day of their lives filled with so much love, happiness, and family. They are counting down the days to say "I DO' and share their love with their closest friends and family!!
