How We Met

First comes tea? Then comes marriage

March 6, 2017- We had a computer lab in the apartments that we so happen to both live in. I was taking a test he was writing a paper. I was feeling under the weather so I kept getting up to go the restroom to grab tissue, he noticed. After a while he said “Excuse me, do you drink tea?” I thought that was a weird question to ask a stranger, so I was interested. After we had that conversation, it led into another conversation and then another. As we were sitting there getting to know each other. I found out that he was from Marshall, TX but coincidentally his mom and brother moved to Fort Worth, TX after he graduated, and they went to the same high school I graduated from. Which is weird. I had to leave for a group project, and I didn’t want him to think I wasn’t interested or trying to cut to conversation short, but he wouldn’t ask for my number. So, I thought that I would just exchange social media that way if he wanted to continue the conversation that opportunity was there. Later on that night he Snapchat me and said “It was nice meeting you tonight.” The next day, I saw him taking the trash out it turned out that our apartment buildings were right next to each other. Coincidence? That same day I was leaving to go to New Orleans to cheer at a basketball tournament but we did not stop talking and texting. When I got back he pick me up from the bus, and the rest was history.
