We met at work back in 2016—just two people crossing paths on what felt like an ordinary day. But even then, there was a spark. He jokingly said I was going to be his wife, and while we laughed it off at the time, neither of us realized just how much truth was hidden in that moment. Our first real date took us to White Rock Lake. What started as a simple walk turned into something much more memorable. We set out without knowing how long the trail really was, and somewhere along the way, we realized we were in deeper than expected—tired, unsure, but determined to keep going. Step by step, we pushed through, encouraging each other until we finally made it to the end. Looking back, that walk feels a lot like our journey together. It hasn’t always been easy. There have been unexpected turns, moments where we felt stretched, and times we didn’t know how we’d make it through. But just like that day at White Rock, we chose to keep going—together. With perseverance, grace, and love, we’ve continued to show up for each other, no matter what. What started as a joke turned into a promise, and that promise has grown into a love story built on commitment, resilience, and faith.
