The idea of wanting a wedding getaway with our closest friends & family evolved over the months after our engagement. At first, we were going to elope on our own. Then, we decided to elope somewhere beautiful and quiet, wearing our wedding attire and with two witnesses to confirm the wedding. The problem here was choosing only two of our loved ones to attend! From here, we expanded the invitation list while still trying to keep it close to home. Our ceremony will still look a lot like an elopement, including only the wedding traditions that we want, and lasting long enough for us to spend time with our closest friends and family in celebration. Given our financial commitments, a greencard to save for, and many other plans on the horizon it wasn’t feasible to host a traditional wedding. In all honesty, even if it was we may still not have done it. The only thing we really care about is being surrounded by people that we love and that accept and love us too as we embark on this adventure. It means the world to us that you will be there to spend this precious time with us! Thank you all xxx
