Believe it or not, we owe our relationship to WSU Cougar Football! Not only did it bring Xavier all the way from California to Washington, but it also landed Xavier on to my radar back in 2008. Xavier and I met at a WSU Alumni Cougar Football watch party in September of 2019. In true Coug fashion, the Coors Light was flowing and I was trying to set Xavier up with a friend of mine. Over the course of the football season and several watch parties later, we realized just how much we enjoyed each other. The Apple Cup ended another below average Cougar football season, but our relationship really just began. We shared our first kiss that weekend and our whirlwind relationship began. After some time, Xavier and I realized we had a lot to accomplish on our own before we could truly give ourselves fully to one another. I began my own company and bought my new house. Xavier moved into his own place, excelled at work, and was baptized at his new Church. It was then we realized the timing was finally right to have marriage on the table and we decided to go all in. And, boy did we do just that. Sorry, Mom and Dad! Just a couple months later, we found out we were pregnant with our son, Elijah. Becoming parents has been one of the greatest blessings of our life. It brought us closer together and made us more committed to one another than ever before. Xavier proposed October 29, 2021 the night before ... what else? A Cougar Football game we were attending in Tempe, AZ. We've spent a long time waiting to become husband and wife and celebrate our big day with all of you. We can't wait to celebrate with you like the true Cougs we are! Thank God for Cougar Football!
