FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We kindly ask that you RSVP by August 11, 2026.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving 20–30 minutes before the ceremony so you have plenty of time to park, get settled, and enjoy the surroundings before we say “I do.”

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

Parking is available near the Standing Sentinel Tree. From there, it is a short walk to the historic Jack Knight Hall for the reception.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our wedding will be held outdoors under the Standing Sentinel Tree, with a short walk on paved ground to the historic Jack Knight Hall. Mid-September days are typically warm, while evenings can cool off quickly. We recommend dressing in layers and bringing a light jacket for later in the evening. Think Sunday best—comfortable, polished, and ready to celebrate. We also suggest footwear that allows you to move easily between spaces and enjoy the day.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place outdoors beneath the Standing Sentinel Tree, just behind the historic Jack Knight Hall. Following the ceremony, guests will enjoy a short walk to Jack Knight Hall for the reception.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Plus ones are only included for guests who were specifically invited with one. If your invitation includes one, they’re absolutely welcome—we can’t wait to meet them.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

A room block has been reserved at the Travelodge by Wyndham in Angels Camp under the name “Lebhart-Binder Wedding.” For guests looking for a more rustic Sierra experience, the area also offers a wide variety of cabins and vacation rentals through Airbnb. Whether you prefer a hotel room or a cozy cabin in the woods, you’ll find plenty of great options nearby.

Question

Are pets allowed at Calaveras Big Trees State Park?

Answer

We love your furry friends, but Calaveras Big Trees State Park has strict pet regulations. Dogs are allowed in designated developed areas such as campgrounds and paved roads, but are not permitted on trails, in the giant sequoia groves, or in most natural areas of the park. For this reason, we recommend making arrangements for pets to stay at home.
