FAQs

The Wedding Website of Kayla Balfour and Vernon Levingston
Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Think formal garden party! Weather permitting, our ceremony will be taking place outside in the grass. Ladies: Colorful midi or Maxi dresses are highly encouraged Men: Light summer suits (Black is okay). Ties & jackets are optional, but encouraged **Please refrain from wearing any white, cream or variations of those colors for your dress.

Question

Are pictures or videos allowed during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that all phones and cameras be put away during our ceremony. We are grateful to have a professional photographer and videographer capturing these moments, and we ask that guests refrain from taking photos or videos so they can do so without obstruction. Thank you for being fully present with us as we celebrate this special moment — we can’t wait to share the memories with you afterward!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

We've gotten this question more times than I would like to admit. There will not be an open bar at our wedding, as we are happily covering the celebration ourselves. However, there will still be a cash bar. Your presence is the greatest gift, and we can’t wait to share this special day with you.

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

While we welcome little ones to share in the joy of our day, we cannot provide supervision, and some moments of the reception may include music not meant for young ears. To keep the ceremony a quiet moment of its own, we kindly ask families with little ones to sit towards the back just in case a little heart grows restless. Thank you for helping us create a peaceful space for this moment we hold so dear!

Question

Do I get a plus one?

Answer

If you have any questions about this, please reach out to Kayla or Vernon for clarification!
