We both lived in Swartz Hall on the third floor our freshman year of college. (Rainey 3 place to be!!!) We were in a few classes together and spent many hours studying together throughout the years. Kayla even took Tommy to her first sorority formal sophomore year. It wasn’t until our junior year physics class where countless hours of studying together caused our friendship to slowly blossom into something more. After a few trial and errors of dating, we finally stuck the summer before Kayla attended vet school. We did long distance for four years before Kayla moved back to the east coast, and Tommy finally put a ring on it!

Tommy surprised Kayla on her family vacation in Ocean City, NJ, which is a very meaningful place for both of our families with long standing traditions and generations of memories. Tommy surprised Kayla at the music pier with flowers, a speech, and a beautiful ring that holds his great great grandmother’s diamond.
