We first met on the 7th grade soccer team at Maple Point Middle School. After a short stint of “dating” at the very mature ages of 12 and 13, we went our separate ways and didn’t speak again until freshman year of high school. That changed in biology, when we were assigned as lab partners based on our seat assignments and ended up paired together. To this day, Kayla still claims she doesn’t know how to use a microscope because of that partnership. We also had accounting together, which gave us plenty of excuses to text about homework assignments and class questions. Sophomore year seemed determined to keep bringing us together—we were seated next to each other in chemistry and also had pre-algebra together. We talked a little more throughout the fall, but it wasn’t until underclassmen formal and Kayla’s sweet 16 that the sparks really started to fly. Then, on February 20, 2017, we made it official. Since then, we’ve grown up together through so many chapters of life—college, new careers, and even new cities. Through every season, we’ve been grateful to have each other by our side, and now we’re so excited to begin our greatest adventure yet. We feel incredibly blessed to have all of you along for the ride as we celebrate this next chapter.
