We may have met by swiping right for each other during COVID in 2020, but little did we realize how close we really grew up from each other. Spencer grew up in Portuguese Cove and I, Kayla, grew up in Herring Cove. For those who don't know, they are only a 10 minute drive away from each other. As we got to know each other we realized that because Spencer was 4 years older than me, we only went to elementary school together and missed junior high, and high school by one year. It wasn't only age that really kept us from running into each other before 2020. Spencer, as most of you know, has loved sports his whole life. From baseball, to hockey, to badminton and anything in between that could create a competitive atmosphere and be part of a large community. Me, on the other hand, played soccer once and would run away from the ball when someone passed it to me. When Spencer would be at a sporting event, you would probably find me playing SingStar on PS2, drawing, writing, or hanging out with my best friends. Our childhoods looked a lot different so our paths didn't cross until our adulthood. Although we have a lot of differences, through the years of getting to know each other we have found that we have a lot in common, too. We love to play cards, including crib, skip-bo, war, crazy 8 countdown, and so much more. A typical night when Bella falls asleep includes yelling quietly at each other when we play Mario Party on the switch. We love to travel and are both very big family people, too. From driving around on our first date during COVID almost four years ago, to raising our dogs and welcoming our beautiful baby girl into the world, we are now so excited to share this next chapter of our lives with you all.
