These two busy bees BUMBLED their way into each other’s lives forever! We met on a dating app called Bumble, neither of us looking for anything serious, but had an instant bond before we even met. Spencer was at a concert with zero service and still managed to get messages from Kayla. Kayla while out with her friends, experienced watching someone get peppered sprayed for the first time! This prompted the very first message of “What up fool, have you ever been pepper sprayed?” leaving Spencer intrigued. We planned a trip to San Francisco for a Halloween bar crawl later that month. We stayed in each other’s lives, not dating, but getting to know each other, even if we were just friends. By August 2019 we were inseparable and officially began dating October 18th, 2019, while on a trip to Disneyland.

We went to Cal Expo to see the Christmas lights, little did I know, Spencer had secret plan for him to propose. The cover story was that we would be going to celebrate his sister's birthday. While looking at lights, Spencer asked a guy if he worked the event, and if he could take our picture in front of a large sign that said LOVE. The guy responded “No, but I could still take your picture.” I was so embarrassed, thinking this poor guy is just here with his family enjoying himself. It turned out that he was a friend that Spencer paid to be there to capture that moment.
