Shane planned for us to attend high tea at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum. High tea is fancy so we *had* to dress up, right? (At least that's what he told me.) When we arrived, the hostess seated us in a private room. Shane was nervous because the staff kept smiling at us, and he was worried they would give away the surprise. I didn't notice that, but I did notice the mannequins wearing wedding dresses when we walked in the room. Our waitress played it off nicely by telling us the significance of the artifacts in the room, which belonged to members of her family that helped to restore the railroad museum. After she left to get our food, Shane couldn't wait any longer and signaled the photographers, who were disguised as guests at a table right outside the door. All I remember is hearing "I hope this serves as a wonderful memory as we start the rest of our lives together . . ." before I started sobbing. Aside from that, all I heard was the click of my personal paparrazi. (Shane knew how much I wanted photos of the event so he made sure to hire an excellent photographer to capture the proposal and more.) We finished off the afternoon with a scenic, historic train ride among the fall leaves.
