Shane and Kayla met in high school freshmen year through mutual friends. Their acquaintanceship grew to friendship during their junior year when they had Geography class together. They bonded over being grouped together to form a country with its own government, established treaties, and allies (other students countries). They would walk to and from some classes together and eventually became best friends. Shane began to want the friendship to become more and waited until senior year homecoming when Kayla was ready to make his move. Their first date as a couple was at Texas Roadhouse and then began their love story.
