Kay and I met in the way only millennials can, online! We met at a local watering hole for our first date aka a bar. Anyone who knows Kay knows that she doesn't drink much. I, on the other hand, consider it a big part of the nutritional pyramid. I knew she was the one when we talked about JFK conspiracy theories. Two things that I knew for certain after that night, Oswald wasn't the lone shooter and this woman took my heart! -Seth
Our proposal story is seriously like the sweetest thing ever! Anyone who knows me definitely knows that I was anxiously awaiting a proposal. I was on such high alert that I was actually shocked that they were able to surprise me! In February of 2018, Seth accepted a coaching position in Virginia and moved. I stayed in North Carolina to finish out the school year. On the weekend of May 5th, I was under the impression that Seth was in Virginia working because if we're being honest, that is all these coaches ever do! I had decided to go to lunch and do a little shopping with my mom and two of my best friends. We were supposed to go to a little restaurant in Old Salem and then head into Winston for shopping. After we had crossed the bridge at Old Salem, Brooke (one of my friends) decided to stop and take some pictures. We got her daughter Emersyn out of the stroller and made our way over to the bridge. From behind me, I could hear people running. I, of course, thought there was a bee or something but I turned around to see Seth walking across the bridge with a sign that said "Marry Me?" I was in complete disbelief. Of course, I cried and happily said yes! Had those two girls not ran to get out of the picture, I would have seen the little onesie that Emersyn was wearing saying, "Aunt KK, Will You Marry My Uncle Seth?" first but it was still absolutely perfect! -Kayla
