Wedding Party

Ryan and Kayla met in their final week of their senior year at SOU. While the exact details of their first encounter change depending on who you ask, the one thing that was for sure was that it was meant to be. Due to some conflicting schedules and almost having their first date in Montana instead of their home state, they were finally able to start their “beginning” and a new tradition of Taco Tuesdays had blossomed. After some toasty lake days, frigid ski trips, and many wild adventures in Southern Oregon, Kayla and Ryan moved their home to the other side of the state. Shortly after the move, and with boxes still waiting to be unpacked, they went on their first international adventure together. To Kayla’s complete and utter surprise, Ryan ended up popping the question! We know what Kayla’s answer was…and so they began their Fiancé era in Tuscany.

Gracie is Kayla’s first and bestest friend. As someone Kayla can always lean on, Grace is her biggest support, a huge inspiration, and someone from whom Kayla has learned so much. Sometimes we forget who the older sister is. They can talk for hours, and no matter how far apart they might live, they will always be there for each other.

Loden

Best Man

Loden and Ryan were inaugural members of the Walker Elementary School Star Wars club. In the last 15 or so odd years nothing they have done has been nearly as impactful for society. His 2 mile PR is currently sitting at a chilly 11’16”.

Natalie

Bridesmaid

Natalie and Kayla have always shared a mutual love for animals. Their friendship started through many dog walks around their neighborhood, then became spending hot sunny days in the family’s pool. Despite distance, Natalie is loyal and fun and always willing to have a good time when they are together.

Nick

Some unknown day in 4th grade Nick and Ryan started talking about the new Halo game. Pretty much every day for the next 5 or 6 years when school got out you’d find them together, either playing xbox in at the Freiheit’s house or jumping on the trampoline at the Popp’s.

Jess

Jess and Kayla met each other freshman year in high school through their group of friends. From dressing up in silly costumes for spirit week, to dolling up for first dates, Jess has always been Kayla’s glam girl.

Jamie

We aren’t exactly sure where Jamie came from originally, all we really know is that he fit right into the gaming room on family trips. Always down for an adventure, Jamie and Ryan have roadtripped coast to coast, skied the Rockies and seen Broadway plays. Ask to hear his Hulk Hogan impression it's really good.

Karina

Karina and Kayla’s friendship, though newer, has grown as rapidly as their houseplant collections. Karina brings coffee and ideas every time they are together, and offers a voice of reason with all things planning. After every visit to Ashland, Karina makes sure Kayla never leaves without a few new plant starts.

Cedar Barnes. Conflict Photographer. Officiant. Homie of all homies. He has been there for many significant moments in Ryan and Kayla’s lives, from early in their relationship, and moving across the state, to Ryan proposing, and now to marrying them.
