The Portland International Airport (PDX) is located approximately 60 miles from our wedding venue in Salem. There are numerous direct flights from major cities that our guests will be attending from (Los Angeles, Orange County, Boston, Chicago, Phoenix, etc.) If you’re flying in for the wedding, here are the main ways to travel from PDX to Salem (about a 1 hour drive south, ~60 miles) once you land: 🚗 1. Rideshare or Taxi (Uber/Lyft) You can request an Uber or Lyft directly from PDX to Salem — Estimated trip time is around 1 to 1.5 hours depending on traffic. 🚐 2. Airport Shuttle There is an airport shuttle via Groome Transportation that picks passengers up directly at PDX and brings them to downtown Salem 🚆 3. Train + Light Rail For a lower-cost option, take MAX light rail from the airport into Portland, then catch an Amtrak train to Salem from Union Station. 🚙 4. Rental Car Renting a car at PDX is another flexible option, especially if you want to explore the area or have multiple stops along the way.
