Nathan and Kayla met back in high school over fifteen years ago, getting together in 2009. Both had a shared love of writing, music, television, movies, and all things art. After being long distance across different states and different countries for many years, they finally were able to settle together in Metro Detroit, Michigan. They have traveled across Michigan, the US, and the world together. Their biggest trip was a 2024 trip to Paris, France, where Nathan proposed with the Eiffel Tower in the background. They love watching pro wrestling, going to art museums, trying new restaurants, traveling, and wrangling their cat Pippa.
