FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is Spring cocktail attire. We recommend long/mid-length dresses or pants and a dress shirt. However, please wear what you feel most comfortable in. The venue has outdoor areas, but most walkways are paved. The dinner and reception will be indoors and temperatures may drop at night.

Question

IS THE WEDDING INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony is outdoors. The reception dinner will be in a tent, and guests will move into the large barn adjacent to the tent for dancing.

Question

What time should I get there?

Answer

The ceremony starts at 4:30 PM sharp. Please be seated at this time. The bar will open at 3:30 PM, so feel free to arrive any time after that to hang out and take in the view of the lake while you wait.

Question

Where do I park?

Answer

The venue has a parking lot, but space is very limited. We have arranged for shuttles to pick up guests at the Hampton Inn, Best Western, and the Microtel starting at 3:00 PM and running every 15 minutes until 4:00 PM. Please plan to take the shuttle. If you are not staying at one of the hotels, there is free public parking available near the Microtel that you can use to park and shuttle to the venue. If you must drive, please carpool with other drivers and let us know in advance that you will drive.

Question

ARE THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION LOCATIONS WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?

Answer

Yes! There are ramps to take for wheelchairs. There will also be a golf cart available to assist people between the ceremony and reception area if needed. When you arrive, look for a staff member to assist you.

Question

WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE?

Answer

Upstate NY can have unpredictable weather! During the day, the weather in late May will be warm (60-70 degrees), but it may get chilly at night. Lake weather also tends to run on the breezier side, so bring some warm layers for the evening.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We have invited the people who we love and care about the most, but if you would like to bring a plus one, please let us know and we can see if we have the space to accommodate them.

Question

Can we bring our kids?

Answer

Kids are welcome at the welcome party, but we would like to keep our wedding limited to those officially invited. Thank you for understanding!
