Right after we closed on our first home (before we even moved in!), we quietly eloped! It was such a special and meaningful way to begin our next chapter together. Now, we’re finally getting to do something we’ve always dreamed of: celebrating our marriage and all the exciting additions to our life (like our sweet Scotty Jay!) for the first time with all of our favorite people. We’re so looking forward to exchanging vows in front of our friends and family. We can’t wait to party, laugh, and make unforgettable memories with you!

Luke and Kayla were introduced by a couple who are close friends of theirs. Luke plays flag football with Ben, and Kayla has been best friends with Leanna since college. The first time they met, Kayla and Leanna went to watch the guys play flag football and later joined them at Lustre Pearl (everyone's favorite bar). When Kayla tells the story, she swears Luke didn’t give her the time of day. But according to Luke, he was just playing the long game. (Interesting phrasing on his part. He clearly did not keep up the long game.) They ran into each other a few more times, until one day Leanna invited Kayla to watch a Cowboys game (her team) with Ben, Luke, and some of their other friends. Luke was drawn to Kayla’s passion for football and her sarcastic wit. That night, he finally worked up the nerve to ask her out on their first official date. (His words.) They have been inseparable ever since. In the end, football really did bring them together, and Kayla will never let Luke forget that it was specifically thanks to the Cowboys.
