Get your passports ready - we can't wait to say "I do" in front of you!

Kayla's best friend Elle had become close to a lovely group of friends in Fall River, Massachusetts. Amongst those friends was Kyle's cousin, Jeff. During a cold fall night in 2014, Jeff and Elle invited Kayla to a friends house to carve pumpkins and celebrate the fall season. Despite Kyle's goofy shenanigans during that party, Kayla became fond of him over the next couple of years. A friendship developed but eventually Kyle took matters into his own hands and began hanging out with Kayla as more than friends. After a very long day at work in September 2016, Kyle knew just the thing that would make Kayla feel better. He asked if Kayla would be his girlfriend the "old school" way on a note that had yes or no check boxes and all. Ecstatic, Kayla of course checked yes and the rest is history!

On a Sunday afternoon in the Summer of 2021, Kyle and Kayla's immediate family had gotten together for an impromptu summer afternoon cookout/lunch. It is not unusual for these sorts of events to attract many more close friends and family. The more the merrier! Everyone had brought their puppies and Tito's brother and new baby sister were in town from Atlanta, so they all gathered for a photo. During the photo, Kyle had an announcement to make. Kyle explained that Kayla had been waiting a very long time for this moment. (Prior to this, as Kyle searched for the perfect ring, Kayla had made it clear she would take a ring pop as long as it was her favorite flavor.) Kyle pulled out a tropical flavored ring pop and asked, "was this the flavor you were hoping for?". Of course, Kayla's immediate reaction was "but that is not my favorite flavor". Kyle then pulled out the black leather box, *cue the tears*, got down on one knee and asked, "is this the flavor you wanted?" and opened the box to reveal a gorgeous diamond ring. Some may argue that he did not officially ask Kayla to marry him, however she understood the unasked question. Kayla said yes and now we cannot wait to celebrate our wedding with the most amazing friends and family around!
