Kris and I met during the height of the pandemic. I had just graduated from college, and was beginning my search for a job. I was living in Saugus at the time, and Kris was working as a paramedic for the town. The base he worked out of was walking distance from my house. My friend Emily and I would go on lots of walks - since what else was there to do (lol). Our route would always take us by the ambulance base where Kris was working.
It was a lazy Sunday morning at home, still in PJ’s. Kris offered to get Hayden dressed for the day, and when she came down she was wearing the proposal on her shirt. “Mommy will you marry my Daddy?” Bonus points that it was also Mother’s Day. Definitely going to be hard to top that in the future!
Our family and our story are anything but traditional. We welcomed our daughter Hayden in March of 2023, moved into our new house in November 2023, and finally welcomed our son Nolan in September of 2024. What a crazy two years it’s been, but we wouldn’t change a thing. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our lives, whether that’s our everyday lives, or even just watching our kids grow from afar on social media. We appreciate you all for joining us on our journey. See you in September!
