We’re getting married!

Kayla and JT met like most people of their generation, online. JT first messaged Kayla on his 31st birthday. He was on a hunting trip at his family’s lake house and came across her profile. He thought she was beautiful so he took a shot and messaged her. They got to talking and hit it off leading to their first official date. They went to an Italian restaurant and talked until it closed then proceeded to go to the bar next door and continue talking till they closed. JT had a wild story for every topic under the sun and though Kayla was skeptical about the details of his stories she found herself laughing the whole night. In typical Washington fashion it was raining and as they said goodnight they shared their first kiss in the rain. From there they were practically inseparable partially due to JT promptly giving Kayla Covid leading to them happily quarantining together. The rest is history.

JT had several grand and imaginative ideas about how to ask Kayla to marry him. Eventually he decided to keep it simple and take her to the place where they first started taking and had made so many memories, the lake house. Kayla , suspecting what he might be up to, was dressed to the 9s all day looking beautiful and maybe a little impatient. Seeing this JT filled the day with all of their favorite activities but still did not pop the question. After finishing the evening with a wonderful home cooked dinner he made a deal with her that he would build a bonfire if she did the dishes and change into something cozy. Once they were content under the stars with a blazing fire JT got down on one knee and ask her to share her life with him. Of course she said yes!
