Melissa and Kayla have known each other since 2012 when they both began working at a Starbucks in Waco, TX. The two have remained the best of friends through thick and thin ever since! It was an obvious choice for Melissa to be one of the MOHs.

Lindsay and Kayla met in 2008 when Lindsay dated Kayla’s ex’s brother. The two lost touch in 2009 and reconnected in 2021 when they found themselves working in the same elementary school. Lindsay and Kayla grew very close and find that they are similar in personalities. Their crazy side will shine at the reception!
Emily Abbe

Emily is Kayla’s sister-in-law. She has been married to Kayla’s brother since 2008. Emily has a very kind soul and giving heart! She is funny, carefree, and an amazing mom.
Lynda Jackson
Bridesmaid
Lynda and Kayla met in 2015. Kayla was new to the Austin area and was asked by a coworker to sub on their sand volleyball team. Lynda was on the team, but she was less of a player and more of a body to support player count. Kayla was deemed Lynda’s bodyguard on the court and protected her from any balls flying her way. The two became really close friends and supported each other through the good times and the bad.

Jen and Kayla met in 2016 when they found themselves as coworkers. The two built a bond together that will last a lifetime. She is the honorary G-Jen to Kayla’s two boys, and an incredible support for Kayla in many ways.

Sassy and smart-assy! This friend of the bride was an easy one to make. Offensive? Maybe. Honest? Definitely! One of the best friends a girl could ask for? No doubt! Kayla and Nicole became fast friends thanks to the sarcasm and rapid-friendly-fire insults hurled at one another. The two met in August ‘22 as special education evaluators at BISD!

Zulay is Josh’s only niece! She is very sweet with a big heart and a creative personality. She can do anything from crafts, crocheting, cooking, and baking - and she’s only 12 going on 13! She’s a joy, and Kayla is happy to have her as a junior bridesmaid.

Josh and Joseph have known each other since middle school. The two became friends after hanging out with mutual friends. Since then, Josh and Joe have built a lifelong bond. Both have kids which can make it hard to connect, but they often play Xbox together to keep in frequent contact.

Junior is Josh’s older brother. The two are 2 years apart in age and had a very rambunctious childhood together. As they’ve gotten older, their friendship as brothers has grown. Although Junior lives In Massachusetts, he and Josh keep in frequent contact by playing Xbox together.
Andrew Herrera

Josh and Andrew have known each other since 5th grade when they shared a class together. Josh knew Andrew’s twin brother the year before, but built a solid friendship with Andrew when he met him. Their friendship has strengthened over the years, and they continue to remain in each others lives.
Sammy Saucedo

Josh and Sammy have known each other for about 5 years. Sammy is the cousin of Josh’s late friend, Nick, who introduced the two. Since Josh has moved back to Fort Worth/Crowley, he and Sammy’s friendship has been able to solidify.

Josh and Brooks met in 2017 when Brooks began working for the same engineering firm as Josh! A handful of engineers at this firm, all in the wedding party, built a group bond. The group enjoys hanging out by their own going out for drinks, brunch, or having a BBQ at someone’s house. Brooks became a close friend of Josh’s pretty quick and is “uncle” to Josh and Kayla’s pug, Beast!
Abel Santellana

Josh and Abel have been friends since 2017 when Abel began working at the same engineering firm as Josh! A handful of engineers at this firm, all in the wedding party, built a group bond. The group enjoys hanging out by their own going out for drinks, brunch, or having a BBQ at someone’s house. Abel has always been an easygoing friend who is down for anything and always willing to lend a helping hand.

Josh and Phillip have known each other since middle school. The two met through another groomsman, Andrew! Now that Josh lives in Fort Worth/Crowley again, their friendship has rekindled and will continue to grow. Josh describes his friendship as a “long, lost friendship that picked right back up where it left off.”

Josh and Korey went to high school together but didn’t meet until afterwards. The officiant, Jarrett, introduced the two! Korey has a very relaxed demeanor and brings a certain calming energy to those around him.
