Jordan moved in down the street from Kayla’s house in 2001. So, they have known each other since they were about 10 years old!
In March of 2014, as Jordan had recently finished basic training with the Army and was currently in Lousiana for training, he reached out to Kayla with a text. Kayla was still living in Pacifica and attending San Francisco State University in pursue of her bachelor’s degree at the time. The two conversed throughout the night, but that was it! About two weeks later, Kayla then decided to reach back out to Jordan via text and the rest was history! 🥰 After several years of long distance with Jordan being stationed in Kansas at Fort Riley finishing out his contract with the Army, the two were finally able to be in the same place at the same time when Jordan was honorably discharged in November of 2017. Although it was an adjustment, the two were stronger than ever, after being long distance for years and even going through a 9 month deployment. Fast forward to now, over six and half years later, and the two are finally saying “I do.” ❤️
The propsal was short and sweet! 🥰 Jordan and Kayla had planned a trip to Hawaii in May/June of 2020, but due to COVID-19, they had to cancel their much needed and awaited vacation. Little did Kayla know, that was the place and time that Jordan was planning on proposing! 💍 Fast forward to July of 2020, the couple went on their annual camping trip to the Lake of the Springs with Kayla’s family. On July 10, 2020 at about ten in the morning, as everyone was getting prepared to make their way down to the lake for some brews and relaxing fun in the sun, Jordan popped the question! He stopped Kayla as she was putting her things inside of the truck, told her how much he loved her and that he would always take care of her, took her hand and got down on one knee and asked her to marry him! It may not have been on a beach in Hawaii, but it was special and absolutely perfect nontheless. ✨ Now, each year on July 10th, the couple will make their way to Lake of the Springs not only for the annual camping trip, but to celebrate the day they got engaged! That location will forever hold a special place in the hearts. 💖
