Once upon a time, two kids were born. On February 6, 2005, a chubby-cheeked baby boy named Jeremy Barbosa Ferreira was welcomed into the world by his mother, Luciene. Just a few months later, on November 10, 2005, a tiny pink baby girl was born. Her name was Kayla Gabriel Moraes. As they grew up, their lives naturally intertwined. Their parents were close friends, and much of their time was spent together at church. Jeremy and Kayla became friends, growing up side by side without realizing what was quietly unfolding. Then came middle school. Somewhere along the way, Jeremy started to notice how beautiful Kayla was, and Kayla began to see Jeremy differently too. They started talking more, messaging, staying up for long FaceTime calls, and realizing just how well they fit together. Their connection grew quickly, even if it had to stay a secret. Kayla was too young to date, so their relationship lived quietly between texts, calls, and stolen moments. They became inseparable. Best friends turned into something deeper, something undeniable. Before long, they realized they loved each other. They believed they were meant to be. And then everything changed. Kayla’s family moved churches, and suddenly the one place they were allowed to see each other was gone. The separation was heartbreaking. There were tears, distance, and silence. Eventually, life moved forward. They grew older, went through high school, and moved on with life, but they never fully let go of each other. Years later, life brought them back together. They started talking again, catching up on the years they had missed. One conversation turned into many, and before they knew it, it felt just like before. Only this time, they were older. This time, they were ready. On March 5, 2022, Jeremy officially asked Kayla out. From that moment on, life was full of adventure. Countless dates, late-night drives, spontaneous plans, endless laughter, and way too much money spent on food. They built a relationship rooted in friendship, love, and joy. But life was not always easy. Kayla went through one of the hardest seasons of her life as her family faced a painful divorce. It was heavy and life-changing. Through it all, Jeremy was there. He became her safe place, her comfort, her constant. Even if it meant driving an hour just to sit with her, he showed up. Jeremy faced his own challenges too. Working hard to build a future and had to learn how to be independent at such an early age, which would mean working hours and hours to afford his dream car all by himself. It wasn’t easy, but Kayla stood by his side, supporting him every step of the way. Life was hard. Truly hard. But through every challenge, they chose each other again and again, and their love only grew stronger. In September 2025, they took a trip to Florida. While there, Kayla wandered into a ring store and jokingly tried on rings, falling in love with one. With the help of Joseph and Vitoria, they both helped distract Kayla... Jeremy secretly bought it. Months later, after asking both of Kayla’s parents for their blessing and carefully planning every detail, Jeremy and Kayla's mom created the perfect moment. On December 15, 2025, during a special date, he got down on one knee and asked Kayla to marry him. Of course, she said yes. And now, there is only one thing left to do...
