We can’t wait to celebrate with you all!

It was sometime in March of 2022 when Ethan made the decision to plan his proposal to Kayla. So he called his sister Oliva to get started. Kayla and Ethan had a vacation planned to visit Oliva and her family in august. He told Olivia he wanted to propose while they were there. She was overjoyed and asked him where in Washington he wanted to do it. She gave him a couple options to choose from and he chose “the tree of life” this was the perfect location for this big moment in their lives. Ethan knew his sister liked to take pictures, and Kayla likes to have pictures of everything, so he asked Olivia if she would document by taking pictures of him down on one knee to ask the love of his life to marry him. She of course said she would! Thank goodness the plan to have “family pictures” worked so they would all be in nice clothes and not hiking gear. Meanwhile, all summer all Kayla would talk about is when is he going to ask her to marry him. Sometimes she would even get upset and frustrated thinking it wasn’t going to happen. Ethan was so good at throwing her off she truly had no idea everything was in the works. Vacation came and they were off. Kayla still not having a clue. She even texted a friend and said there was no way they’d get engaged on this trip because it was too predictable. 5 days have gone by on this trip, they’d seen Mt. Rainer, Downtown Seattle and many more things already and still no proposal. But then Thursday came and they headed to the pacific coast. Around 5pm they started getting ready at the Inn. Kayla got all the girls ready and herself for “family photos” on the coast. Still not having a single clue what was coming. The weather was beautiful the whole day, but then they started to drive to the beach. It got dreary, misty, cloudy, and temperature dropped about 15 degrees. Kayla started to feel sad because it could have been beautiful but now it was misting. Well family pictures definitely still happened. We all took a group photo and it was perfect. But now it was time for individual photos, which Kayla wanted to take theirs first. But Olivia was insistent their bother go first with his girlfriend. Kayla was a little confused and didn’t understand why but rolled with it anyway. (Ethan didn’t have the ring yet, it was in his sisters camera bag) then it was their turn. Kayla and Ethan climbed on this big log of driftwood and began to take pictures. Ethan turned Her around for a different pose. The he slowly stepped back while She was looking in the opposite direction and got down on one knee and took out the ring. She noticed he was doing something weird out of the corner of her eye and then realized what it was and whipped around to face him. she couldn’t believe it. Tears welled up in her eyes and she couldn’t stop smiling. It took her a minute to realize she hadn’t said anything yet. but then she said it. She said Yes! The rest of vacation was so wonderful and relaxing and they enjoyed the rest of it as a newly engaged couple.
