Every Saturday the Dane County Farmers Market takes place around the Capitol square. It is the largest producers-only farmers' market! Make sure to go early in the morning to beat the crowd.

Take a bike ride around Lake Monona or to downtown Madison! Bikes can be rented by the hour or for the day, and located outside the Sheraton Hotel, within walking distance of the Clarion Suites or Comfort In. These are electric bikes that help with those darn hills:)
Take a stroll through the Olbrich Botanical Gardens. It is a 16 acre outdoor botanical garden full of beauty. Once you finish, go down Atwood and visit the great cafes and dive bars in one of the most popular areas, the Marquette neighborhood.
Check out Lake Mendota and the University of Wisconsin campus! One of the most popular venues overlooking Lake Mendota, enjoy Friday night live music, a brat and beer, or a walk down the path to Picnic Point. There are plenty of the famous Union chairs to enjoy.
Only 30 minutes from Madison, get your hiking boots and hike the bluffs around Baraboo. Need to cool off after the hike? There is a great beach to take a dip in (June may still be cold!). Beautiful scenery. Take advantage of the little wineries and distilleries around also: Baraboo Bluff Winery, Balanced Rock Winery, Broken Bottle Winery, Driftless Glen Distillery.
Did you know Madison is one of two major U.S. cities built on an isthmus? It is between Lake Mendota and Lake Monona. Enjoy a pontoon boat ride for $5, and learn all about Madison and the Lakes! Check website for boat schedules, but they do run during the day or some evenings.
